Because the Engineering and Public Works Department is entrusted to operate and maintain the infrastructure and facilities owned by the Village of Schaumburg and because its customers (the residents, businesses, and visitors to the village) cannot go elsewhere for the service it provides, every Engineering and Public Works employee is expected to provide the highest level of service to every customer.
